It’s Official: Dopplr Acquired by Nokia
Last week TechCrunch reported that Nokia had acquired Dopplr, the Social Atlas; although this was believed to be a false rumour. Today both Dopplr and Nokia have officially announced the acquisition. See below for a quote from the Dopplr Blog and a press release from Nokia:

“Espoo, Finland – Nokia and Dopplr announced today that Nokia has acquired Dopplr Oy, a privately-held mobile service provider for international travelers. Dopplr has a team of seven people with offices in London and Helsinki.
