Firefox - Logo - SmallThe long-awaited Mozilla browser has recived on its first day millions of  download requests for  its latest version, surpassing by twice Internet Explorer’s number in its first 24 hours. The release of Firefox 4 has been delayed numerous times with the developers trying to release the new version as optimsed and bug-free as possible.

Mozilla released Firefox 4 to the expectations of many users who had been waiting for this update for a  long time now. After numerous delays and beta versions the official website now allows users to download the final version of the browser, which supposedly includes major improvements.

Being available for less than 24 hours, Firefox 4 has long exceeded the amount of downloads that Internet Explorer 9 got on its first day. Microsoft’s browser obtained a turnover of approximately 2.35 million downloads, while the Mozilla Foundation already has 5 million … and the day ain’t over yet!
