What did Pukka want to do?
Pukka does business in a very regulated industry, and they wanted to use PPC to target consumers more directly
based on their specific needs and symptoms. They also wanted high rankings in the natural listings to
capture prospects researching herbal products.
In addition, all PPC sales had to be kept to a tight cost-per-acquisition target of under £3.
How did Tug help them do it?
For SEO, we worked with Pukka's third-party content management system vendor to optimise the site and simplify
the optimisation of future client posts and product updates.
We currently run a campaign for Pukka herbal remedies and teas, managing thousands of keywords related to specific herbs and illnesses. Positions and bids are optimised for ROI, and messaging is regularly updated to reflect discounts, seasonal campaigns and good PR.
Our link-building strategy evolves quarterly to meet seasonal objectives. We also take an integrated approach to messaging, combining PPC for price and discount messaging and SEO for building the brand.
How did it all go?
PPC consistently drives a significant portion of Pukka's online sales and grows their base of new customers daily –
all within the tight CPA target.
The SEO programme has been so successful that Pukka has reached a top-five natural listing position for the majority of their herbal remedies – as well as the competitive keyword ‘herbal teas'.
